That's me, the world traveler, with my wife Amanda in Valetta, Malta. As you have already found out, I was born and raised in Keokuk, IA. It was a nice town of about 12,000 people in southeast Iowa along the Mississippi River (It's been years since I've been back). After highschool I enrolled in Cornell College and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Mathematics.

I was married on August 3rd, 2002 to Amanda and we live in a house we built in Rhome, TX. I am currently a Network Engineer for Herrod Technology, Inc. Amanda is a Facility Coordinator for Jones Lang LaSalle at the Fidelity campus near here.

We have found a wonderful chruch home at Bear Creek Bible Church in Keller. If you are in the area, I can't recommend it more.

Amanda and I ended up together after living next door to each other in my residence hall our senior year at Cornell. It wasn't exactly a fairy tale in the beginning, she shot me down quite swiftly at first. Persistence was the key I found, as a little over a week later she came to her senses. Since then it has achieved fairy tale status for both of us, and I am happier than I have ever been.

One of my main hobbies is working on computers. After talking about it for years, I built my first computer for Christmas 2005. It was quite a fun experience, picking out all of the parts and configuring everything to work. I look forward to making a new one soon hopefully, most likely a media center PC.

My other main hobbies are investing and personal finance. I read pretty much any book I can get my hands on in those subjects. I am a big Dave Ramsey fan. Click the link and read. Tune into the radio show. Buy the book. Take the classes at a local area church. It'll change your life.

Sports are something else I enjoy a lot. At Cornell I actively participated in intramural events of all sorts for my fraternity, Sigma Tau, over my last two years, including winning championship t-shirts in doubles racquetball, mixed doubles billiards, bowling, euchre (2 years), and an overall championship shirt for the second semester of my senior year. I enjoy pickup games of any sport, but admittedly my favorites are racquetball, bowling, and billiards.

I also follow professional sports such as baseball and hockey. With my dad being from St. Louis, it can be understood how I became a St. Louis fan. I am a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and I bleed true blue for my hockey team, the St. Louis Blues. You would think that I would be a Rams fan, but although I like watching the Rams play, I really don't have a favorite football team. Living in Texas, a few have tried to convert me to a Cowboy fan, but no luck with that so far.

I'm a pretty laid back guy who enjoys simplicity, can tend to be quiet, but can talk your ear off once you get to know me.
